Roger and Sarah Adams first began their professional involvement with pointed stilettos in England in the summer of 1983, and spent several years retailing shoes ranging from original, old-stock 1960's-made stiletto-heeled women's fashion shoes to the pointed-toe, "alternative" styles produced by small London shoe factories.

By 1987, Roger and Sarah had begun to design their own range of stiletto-influenced shoes, which were handmade in London. The shoes were well-received internationally, featuring frequently in the fashion press (Elle, The Tatler, and Vogue amongst others) and the higher heels in particular were often photographed, most notably by the late Bob Carlos Clarke.

Roger and Sarah's shoes were available to order from their own Brighton shop, and in London from designer Kim West's shoe department, Heels of London.  Slingbacks from their lower-heeled range were featured in a catwalk collection (and stocked) by Katharine Hamnett.  Mila Jovovich modelled them for French Vogue magazine.  Madonna wore Roger and Sarah Adams low-heeled mules on the cover of her Danilo 1992 photographic calendar.

Roger and Sarah quit the shoe business in 1991 to pursue other careers. Their passion for shoes was re-kindled at the beginning of 2006 when contact was made and an excellent working relationship established with an Italian shoe maker. In the Summer of that year, they launched their new label and online shop, RoSa Shoes. Their shoes are now worn by women all over the world, with a clientele encompassing over thirty nationalities, across six continents.

The following Spring saw the introduction of the RoSa high heel court shoe which quickly gained recognition as the finest ultra-pointed, high-heeled stiletto pump in production. In February 2009, the shoe was featured, worn by Dutch supermodel Lara Stone (wife of British comedy actor David Walliams) in  the New York Times' Sunday magazine (Women's Fashion, Spring 2009), prompting an upsurge of interest from US customers.

Other RoSa designs (the high heel red patent court shoe and the classic heel front-and-rear-laced boot) appear in the 2010 desk-top and wall calendars for shoe devotees produced by Workman Publishing of New York., and are featured by the Virtual Shoe Museum of the Netherlands.
 

Roger and Sarah Adams have always drawn inspiration from their early days as collectors and sellers of vintage pointed stilettos. They still live and work in England, but their shoe designs are now made in Italy, birthplace of the original pointed-toe stilettos of the early 1960s, under the personal supervision of experienced shoemakers such as Edoardo Amaranti. In their new RoSa Shoes range, ideas evocative of this era combine unsurpassed Italian components and craftsmanship with a modern perspective to create an outstanding collection of stiletto-heeled shoes and boots.
