RoSa Shoes - Terms and Conditions

"There is no such thing as too pointed!" (Sarah of RoSa Shoes, 2006).

IF YOU ARE NEW TO OUR SHOES, OR BUYING AS A GIFT: We do not disguise the fact that we specialise in the most extended pointed toes and the thinnest stiletto heels that can be made. Our designs are extreme - they are not for the faint of heart or the conservative of taste. They are certainly the ultimate choice for women who love to wear very long pointed toes and genuine stiletto heels, but the more "middle of the road" wearer may need a little encouragement. Please bear this in mind before deciding to place an order.

Our Terms and Conditions are as follows:

If you request a refund within the statutory 7 days from date of delivery we will refund the value of the shoes (not the Shipping charge) when we have received them back in perfect condition.*

If a refund is requested regarding a transaction which is part of a "Free Shipping" Special Offer, the shipping cost normally charged for your part of the world will be deducted from the amount refunded to your account.

If you would like to exchange for a different size in the same product, one size exchange per transaction (including transactions featuring Free Shipping) may be requested at no additional outward shipping charge.

If you decide, after taking advantage of our free size exchange, that the shoes are still not suitable and you ask for a refund, all shipping costs we have incurred regarding your transaction will be deducted from the amount refunded.

* Items must be returned promptly to the address on our Contact Us page in the condition they left our premises, in the original box, unworn, uncreased, unmodified, undamaged, unmarked, and entirely fit for resale as new.

You must first request confirmation from us authorising the return - please don't post them without telling us. Send returned items by priority mail (airmail in case of overseas returns) insured to cover yourself against accidental loss or damage. Please mark the package "returned goods, country of origin UK" if returning items from overseas. We will not accept liability for import or Customs charges on returned items if UK Customs are not made aware that the returned goods were originally purchased from the UK. Until we have agreed the refund or exchange following examination of the condition of the returned goods, returned items remain your property.

We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage while items are in transit. If items show any sign of having been used for any purpose (including photo shoots, modelling assignments or other temporary use) worn, modified or damaged either while in your possession or en route back to our premises, we reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange, in which case we will send the shoes back to you.

We are the designers and sole stockists of RoSa Shoes. We are not an intermediary in a factory-direct operation. You will know immediately and reliably whether your choice is available, and it will be sent to you promptly as soon as your transaction is verified. If a particular size or style goes out of stock, the item will be removed from the online shop product pages until the next delivery from our shoemakers in Italy. If you would like to confirm anticipated restocking date, please phone or email us. When delivery is imminent we may on occasion, at our discretion, allow pre-ordering (see para. 12 below). This will be indicated in the drop-down size box.

Customers are expected to read and heed the advice on the care leaflet supplied with the shoes. Leather shoes are not waterproof, and should not be worn in adverse weather conditions. If accidentally exposed to water, they must be allowed to dry out naturally, not by application of heat. Leathers used are carefully selected by our shoemakers, but some minor variation or marking in the surface finish may be evident because leather is a natural product. Thin-heeled shoes with long, fine-pointed toes will need routine maintenance from a shoe repairer. Although our heels are exceptionally strong, thin stiletto heels are not recommended for any wearer with higher than average female body weight as they concentrate the wearer's weight on to a very small area. Our shoes and boots are designed, manufactured and sold specifically as women's high fashion shoes. Materials and construction methods used are appropriate for smart, occasional wear by women accustomed to walking in this type of footwear. The shoes are intended for well-paved, predominantly indoor conditions, e.g. shopping malls, offices, airport terminals, clubs, bars, parties, dance halls, restaurants, etc. Any reference made on this website or in any of our literature or publicity material to the high quality of our products or of the materials used in their manufacture refers to aesthetic and/or luxury value, not to their ruggedness in adverse or inappropriate conditions. The standard plastic heel tips are intended primarily to protect indoor floors. Our shoes can be fitted at reasonable cost by your local repairer with metal heel tips, heavier-duty toe reinforcement and/or lightweight stick-on soles for improved outdoor wear.

We accept no responsibility, beyond advising caution, for any accidental damage occurring to the shoes, or to you, or caused by you to anyone or anything, while you are wearing our shoes. Stiletto-heeled shoes with long pointed toes or platform soles are not intended as practical footwear, and must be worn carefully. Any decision taken as to how, where, or when you wear them is a matter for your own judgement and common sense.

Older “Roger and Sarah Adams” label shoes from our old mail order catalogues or seen in photographs on our Memory Lane history page are no longer available. We do not offer a custom-made service or cater for individual requests.

No part of this website may be reproduced or copied in any form or for any purpose without permission. All RoSa Shoes designs, and all logos, text and images are the property of Roger and Sarah Adams, trading as RoSa Shoes.

All prices quoted and all transactions are in British Pounds, and include VAT at the standard UK rate. We do not accept payment or quote our prices in other currencies as these depend on exchange rates at the time of purchase. The rate of exchange is determined by your bank or card-issuing company at the time of the transaction. However, an approximate rate can be found at the MSN currency converter.

During the checkout procedure, you will be transferred to the encrypted Sagepay VSP Server. This ensures your details are treated confidentially and securely. Your card details are not stored or viewed by RoSa Shoes, we are simply informed by Sagepay whether or not the transaction has been successful.

NOTE: the card-issuing companies have introduced a system known as "3D Secure", which is the online equivalent of the chip-and-pin system, involving a security code for online card use. "Verified by Visa" and "MasterCard SecureCode" are part of this system, which enables your bank to verify your customer ID directly during online transactions. All customers wishing to use their credit or debit cards online are therefore strongly advised to register them with their banks as soon as possible.

We will normally dispatch orders ONLY to the verified account-holder's address. There is no option to change the delivery address in our shopping cart. It is your responsibility to ensure your address details are correctly entered when placing an order.

UK CUSTOMERS ONLY: If you choose to pay with a cheque drawn on a UK bank, simply send details of your order, together with your cheque made payable to RoSa Shoes, in UK Pounds Sterling, to us at the address on the Contact page. You are strongly advised to check with us first on availability. The shoes will be reserved for a maximum of five working days pending receipt of your payment, and will be posted to you once your payment has been verified and cleared by the bank.

Customers who wish to have shoes delivered to an alternative address, are invited to pay by direct bank transfer in British Pounds. Please contact us by e-mail and we will send you an invoice for the shoes and shipping charge, including the necessary details to perform the transfer. You will need to accept all bank charges when making the transfer.

Pre-order Option: We may, at our own discretion, enable pre-ordering of out-of-stock sizes or new styles due in. We will only do this once production of new stock has been commissioned and a firm delivery date agreed with our shoemakers. In the case of re-orders of existing styles, customers selecting this option will at the time of pre-order be charged in full at the current price, thus protecting themselves against any subsequent increase in price of the product ordered. A full refund, including shipping, if despatch has yet to take place, may be requested at any time unless the order has already been sent from our premises, in which case our usual Terms apply - see above.

Trimmings (buckles etc.) may vary slightly in design from time to time due to availability of supply. We reserve the right to maintain a policy of ongoing improvement and refinement to our range of products. Photographs of products are for illustrative purposes only. Colours of items on this website are reproduced by computer equipment according to its own settings and capabilities.

Taxes and duties deemed payable on imported goods in countries outside the EU are the responsibility of the purchaser.
